Robert H. (Jesse) Wittman 1962 - 2021
MARCY - Mr. Robert H. (Jesse) Wittman, 58, of Marcy, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Robert was born in Utica, on October 6, 1962, the son of Robert and Louise (Gill) Wittman. He was raised in Deerfield, attended St. Peter's grade school, Deerfield elementary and was a 1980 graduate of Whitesboro High School. He continued his education at MVCC, where he received his Realtor License, and Utica College. On August 10, 1996, Jesse married his best friend, Cathy A. Tripepi. At one time, Jesse was employed with Oneida County DPW, Amodio Real Estate, Centron Security, Oneida County Sherriff's Department and the Frankfort Highway Department. Jesse shared a special relationship with his father and the two worked many years along side each other in their family real estate business.
Jesse and Cathy enjoyed spending their summers on the St. Lawrence River on their yachts, the Fifty-Fifty and Ambush and their winters in Florida. He also enjoyed fishing, cars and was an avid NASCAR enthusiast. Jesse was a very religious man who enjoyed studying the bible. He loved spending time with family and friends, was the "life of the party" and believed in the saying, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere".
Mr. Wittman is survived by his best friend, Cathy; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte L. and Joseph Palmer, of Sauquoit; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert K. Wittman, II and his fiancée, Mary K. Martin, of Phoenix, AZ and Luke M. and Erin Wittman, of Oriskany; stepdaughter, who he shared a close relationship with, Courtney DeRosa (Faltisko), of Whitesboro; stepson, Volo Malara, II, of Webster, NY; six cherished grandchildren, Adrian, Abby, Ava, Sophia, Nina and Dylan; a very special aunt and uncle, Elaine and Randy Guennell, of Kentucky; uncle, Edward Coulter, of Florida; a special cousin, Howard (Corkey) Canfield and Pam; brother-in-law, Chief Russell Brooks, UFD, Ret; four nephews, Patrick Brooks, Matt Brooks, John Brooks and Michael Brooks; as well as many additional cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Louise.
Visitation for family and friends is on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 11:00-1:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. His burial will be in Carr Cemetery, Marcy. All Covid protocols will be implemented.
