Robin Maggiore Obituary

Robin M. Kennedy Maggiore
Remsen
Robin M. Kennedy Maggiore, age 53, of Remsen, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010, with the love and support of her family by her side. Born in Utica on November 16, 1957, Robin was the daughter of the late Jack and Marion (Borek) Kennedy. Raised and educated locally, she attended St. Joseph & St. Patrick Grammar School and Utica Free Academy (sometimes!). She shared an enduring partnership of more than 30 years with Benny Chuggy Maggiore, Jr.; he was the love of her life, her heart and soul. After her schooling, Robin relocated to Florida with her cousin, Cindy Harpo, only to return to Utica to meet the love of her life, Chuggy, whose family owned Bengees Bar, where she ultimately worked as a bartender for 15 years. She then moved to Hinckley Lake and worked at Stop and Shop where she met a host of friends for whom she held a great affection. Robin was a kind hearted, fun-loving woman with a talent for conversation and telling jokes (sometimes a bit corny). She loved animals and adopted them into her home, especially remembering Maxwell, Spot, and her cat The pig. Always close to her heart was the memory of her dog, Harley, who passed in 2008. Robin was an excellent cook, enjoyed fishing and camping in Canada, solving crossword puzzles, and collecting miniature creations. Robin is survived by her love, Benny Chuggy, and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat Bonner, of Utica, Jackie Kennedy and Rick Rushman, of FL, and Paul Bonner, of Utica. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews, especially Stacy and Rick Kallen, and Jason Bonner; great-nieces and great-nephews; several aunts and uncles, especially Aunt Joanie Johnson; cousins, with special mention of Cindy Harpo and Rich Gacek, and Sue and Kevin Vitullo, and their families; and in-laws, Angelo and Doris Maggiore. Robin was also blessed with many wonderful and loving friends during her lifetime, too numerous to mention, but she loved them all. She was predeceased by her in-laws, Benny and Hazel Maggiore. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of the Gordon Unit at the Katherine Luther Home, especially Diane, whose dedication and compassionate care was outstanding. Visitation will be held Tuesday (today) from 5:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. An expression of sympathy may be offered to the family to assist during these difficult times. Robins Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will commence at 7:00 at the funeral home immediately upon the conclusion of visitation with Rev. Anthony P. LaFache officiating.
