Annie Reed Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Annie Mae Reed "Ann", 86, of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She passed away at home with her family by her side. Annie was born October 18, 1928 in Hamlet, North Carolina to the late James E. and Annie B. Cowan. The family later moved to Wilmington, NC and there she remained until she moved to Williamsburg in the late 1950's. On June 4, 1960, she married the love of her life, Lee Andrew Reed in Williamsburg. She is preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Annie loved to cook and made the most amazing meals but what she loved the most was taking care of her family. They will miss her immensely but know that they will see her again in the future. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Lee Andrew Reed, her daughter, Michele Reed Topping and husband Donald and her "precious angel" granddaughter, Michele Lee Topping all of Williamsburg. Visitation will be at Bucktrout Funeral Home, Monday, March 30, 2015, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1:00pm with Pastor Davy Saunders officiating. Online condolences maybe shared with the family at www.bucktroutfuneralhome.net.
