I was privileged to sing with David for many years in the Williamsburg United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir. He always expressed interest and concern for those around him, asking questions and listening more than talking about himself. He was willing to share his lovely voice with us, either as a member of the tenor section or as a soloist. However, I think that the spirit that shone out through his singing was even more important than his magnificent voice. When he sang "How Great Thou Art" you could tell that he believed every word. Even when speech became difficult, David still shared God's love with song.
