Dear Nancy,
My wife Barbara and I were greatly saddened to learn of Dixon's death. He was truly an outstanding man and judge with whom it was an honor to serve and know. As a fellow alumnus of William and Mary, I always took special pride in him. You and your family are very much in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Sincerely yours,
Shore Robertson

Uncle Dick, the "Singing Judge" was always the life of our extended family gatherings with our Virginia relatives. I have nothing but the fond memories of time spent in Irvington at the Foster residence and out on the water in and around Carters Creek with Captain Dick. Praise for a life well spent focused on his precious family, love for the Lord, and service to country and community. The heavens are celebrating the newest member as brothers Ollie & Merritt and parents, Merritt Sr. and Nancy Oliver, welcome him with open arms!
Loving, devoted daughter of Ollie,
Sharon Foster O'Connor
