Frances was truly a lovely person. Very well read, extremely interesting to talk with.I used to take her back and forth to work at the old courthouse when it was on Henry St. Donnie and I will miss her. I think people here in Williamsburg know that we lost a real treasure.

Frances was a woman who always welcomed me warmly and with enthusiasm that was both genuine and a benchmark of what I perceive to be the benchmark of Southern hospitality.
She was one of my favorite ladies of Williamsburg.

Frances was a wonderful person, who was a friend for many, many years. Her interest in W&M was unbounded and she frequently offered be tidbits of history that otherwise would now be lost, especially from her father's era. A real loss. You don't find people like Frances often.

I was lucky to have Frances as my godmother. Growing up with her caring ways and uplifting attitude was inspirational to me and also my family. She will be missed especially on Chandler Court!

Frances was a lovely lady and a very kind and helpful employee of mine when I was the Clerk of Circuit Court. We retired at the same time and it was always a pleasure to meet with her since then. She will be missed. Helene S. Ward
