Ruth McCracken Obituary
Ruth was employed as a sales associate by Yankee Candle. She belonged to several organizations and had many wonderful friends. She is survived by her son, Samuel J. McCracken, III and his wife, Wanda L. McCracken and their children, James L. McCracken, Ryan S. McCracken, and Kyle S. McCracken; her son, Paul S. McCracken; her daughter, Julie M. Power and her husband, James D. Power, IV, and their children, James D. Power, V, Michael M. Power, and Laura A. Power; her daughter, Susan M. Britt and her husband Edward L. Britt, Jr. and their children, Edward L. Britt, III and Nicolas S. Britt; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jr. and Jaxson McCracken.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at 2 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. Private interment will be at Fairfax Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsencares.com.

She had a way of helping others that was so remarkable. She had many honest friendships with the people she met and long time friends. Ruth will be greatly missed but her feelings and emotions will live on. With great love and admiration, I love you.
