Edward R. (Ed) Anderson Edward R. "Ed" Anderson, 76, passed away at home on Friday morning, March 26, 2021 with his wife and daughter by his side. Edward had a long and distinguished career as a police officer, retiring as Chief. He served in several towns in Iowa during his many years of service. He is survived by his wife, Marcia in Urbandale, daughter Kerry (Kevin) Connolly of Johnston, a son Ross (Kim) of Scottsdale, AZ, a granddaughter Candice Connolly and his twin Sister, Eleanor Franks of Council Bluffs. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Bernice (Boucher) Anderson, a brother, Billy, who was KIA during WW II, and two sisters, Donnabelle & Deloris. A graveside service will be held at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs on Saturday, April 10th at 11am. Memorials may be directed to your local police department or first responders of your choice.

You have been one of the most best grandfather / dad you could of ever been towards me. Thank you for being my hero and someone i can look up to or get simple life hacks. Marsha, we are so very sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. We are so proud to have been a part of his life. Even though we hadn't seen him or heard from him, he was always in our hearts and loved dearly. Our dear, dear friend, Eddie. Remember all of the wonderful and beautiful hours and hours of fun the four of us spent together. Oh, if you and Eleanor and Kenney and I could spend time together, all the all glorious memories we have to share. We could write an amazing book to share with our children. What an amazing childhood we all had together. I have such cute pictures of the four of us, wish I was savvy enough to share one here. Love to you and your family.
