Vivian Kemmish 1943 - 2021 Vivian Mae (Richards) Kemmish, age 77 of Shenandoah, IA, formerly of Sun City, AZ and Sidney, IA, died Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Accera Health Care Center in Shenandoah following a brief illness. Vivian was born April 3, 1943 in Hamburg, IA to Ralph Wayne Richards and Lexie Mae (MacDonald) Richards. She was a 1961 graduate of Sidney High School and attended Commercial Extension School in Omaha, NE. Vivian worked for the Veteran's Administration for 37 years, first at the VA Hospital in Omaha, NE and then for over 30 years at the VA Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She was a lifetime member of the Sidney, IA American Legion Auxiliary and moved to Shenandoah on September 19, 2019 to be near family. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Kemmish; son, Richard Wayne Rulla; and a brother-in-law, Chester Hensley. She is survived by 2 sisters, Connie Ohrmund and husband Walter of Sidney, IA and Joyce Hensley of Council Bluffs, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Graveside services for the interment of ashes will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Sidney, IA Cemetery with St. Croix Hospice Chaplain Lisa Maas officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Sidney American Legion Auxiliary or the American Red Cross Blood Drive. The Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Sidney, IA is in charge of arrangements.
