Blanca Graciela Mendez

Harlingen, TX - Blanca Graciela Mendez went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2022, at the age of 63. Blanca was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the daughter of Rodolfo Hector and Graciela G. Mendez. She graduated from Harlingen High School and earned a Bachelors in Nursing degree from The University of Texas Pan American. Blanca worked as a nurse and for the last 10 years has been an owner/administrator of Abba Homecare in Hidalgo, Texas. Blanca was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her cats, and helping those in need. She was a kind and giving soul and loved by all who knew her.

Blanca is survived by her brother, Ove Garcia, Jr., nephews Ove M. Garcia III, Erik A Garcia, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Rodolfo and Graciela Mendez, her beautiful daughter Laura Graciela Mendez, and brother Rodolfo Hector Mendez.

The viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and the reciting of the rosary will follow at Trinity Funeral Home in Harlingen, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in her name to the Harlingen Humane Society, 1106 Markowsky Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550.
