Blanca Molina Obituary

Blanca
Estella Molina
Harlingen -
On the morning of January 16, 2016, Blanca Estella Molina (64), of Harlingen, TX, passed away at Valley Regional Medical Center due to complications from a thyroidectomy. Her children were by her side at the time of her passing.
Blanca Estella was born in Harlingen, TX on November 12, 1951. She was one of five children. As a young girl, Blanca was always full of life and her activities were high energy and involved the enjoyment of others. In high school, she was a member of the Cardette Dance and Drill Team. She graduated from Harlingen High School in 1969 and went on to earn her BA in Business and Education and graduated suma cum laude from the University of Texas at Pan American in 1981.
Blanca married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Ed Molina in 1968. They shared a passion for travel and luxury, fun dates out and game nights at home with their kids. After Ed's passing in 1995, she refused to be defined as a "widow." She furthered her education and love for the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and against all odds, gained an incredible strength and wherewithal. Ever the restless spirit, Blanca obtained a realtor license and also became a teacher. Once her own children were grown, it was the little faces in the classroom that kept her young. She taught 4th grade at La Paloma Elementary School in San Benito, TX. Since her dancing days in high school, it was important to Blanca to always be moving. She took great care of herself and health and fitness was important to her. From Jane Fonda to Zumba and in the end, Jujitsu, Blanca always loved a challenge.
Blanca is survived by her three children, Frank Molina Stephanie Ceccarelli, Carlos Molina; sister Lupita Passement; brothers, Ernest, Joe and Roy and her beloved family dogs, Bruce, Maverick, Chico, Ranger and Moose.
Friends are welcome to sign the register book as early at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
The funeral service will be held at Rudy Garza Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19 at 12:00 noon. She will be laid to rest at Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service. Anyone who would like to show their support to the family, share memories, and convey condolences is encouraged to attend.
The family has requested memories, stories, and photos be posted on her Facebook page for memorialization.

I was just remembering Mrs. Molina...I´m so sad to find that she´s passed. She was my second grade teacher at Zavala Elementary. I saw her about 20 years ago at Chapita´s restaurant...she introduced me to her mom. My condolences to her family...may she Rest In Peace.
