Cheyenne Summer Mitchell

1998 - 2017

Harlingen - Cheyenne Summer Mitchell was born on August 25, 1998 and resided in Harlingen TX. Cheyenne graduated Harlingen High School in 2016 where she had many wonderful friends. She had a beautiful smile and personality that could light up a room, she enjoyed spending time with her family, but will also be remembered for her fondness of the beach, her fashion sense, style, and her flair.

Cheyenne is survived by her grandmother, Rita Mitchell, who raised her since childhood, and with whom she shared a special bond, her great grandparents Ralph and Maggie McClanahan, her brothers Christopher and Casey, her grandfather Jerry Fortner, her aunt and uncle Cody and Erin Mitchell, and her aunt and uncle Tammy and Frank Factor, her aunt and uncle Sandy and Dave McAfee, her aunt and uncle Sheila and Mike Jackson, her aunt Roxie George, her aunt Ruth Wheaton and numerous cousins.

Chey was preceded in death by her father Shane Mitchell, grandfather Billy Mitchell, her grandmother Judy Boen, and great grandfather Louis Pierro.

Cheyenne was taken from us on April 22, 2017 at the age of 18. Although gone too soon, in her short time she touched the lives of many who will keep her memory alive. She will remain forever young.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 12 pm to 9 pm with family receiving friends from 5 pm to 7 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.

A celebration of Cheyenne's life will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
