I can't express how greatly you will be missed. Though we didn't see each other regularly, I always knew you were there. Your friendship meant so much to me...always encouraging, positive, and most importantly funny. I will never forget your smile and the sparkle in your eyes. You could light up a room and never knew a stranger. You made every person feel so special. I looked at you as a big brother, and though most of our interactions were full of fun and laughter, I will never forget the last "serious" conversation we had and your "approval" of me marrying Mike. You will never know the impact your words had on me that day, I wish I had the chance to talk to you one more time. You were so genuine in wanting the best for everyone around you. I want to thank you for your friendship. You are the epitomy of what a "friend" is. You ALWAYS put others ahead of yourself, even when you really didnt want to. I will cherish, laugh and love you for the rest of my life. I was in Philly with my cousins the night God called you home, my heart ached and was overfilled with sadness, joy and pain. Although we will never know why it was your time, God is faithful and all knowing. It is by faith that we will all accpet and proceed forward with our daily lives. As soon as I found John had passed via Facebook, I walked outside and prayed the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for his soul. He was a fun police officer to dispatch, with positive attitude always, and whenever we socialized, I knew he was going to make me smile and laugh!!
