Aloysius Carchidi

Aloysius Carchidi KINGSTON- Aloysius Carchidi, 72, of Route 32, Kingston, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Kingston Hospital. Born May 15, 1939 in Kingston; he was a son of the late (Vincent) James and Grace (Amarello) Carchidi. A custodian for many years with the Kingston Consolidated School District, Aloysius enjoyed traveling, old John Wayne movies and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Rose A. (Slater) Carchidi, of Kingston; his daughter, Grace A. Kniffen, of Kingston; his grandson, Timothy Jay Kniffen, of Kingston; dear family friend, Christopher Conrad; brother, John Carchidi, of Lake Katrine; sisters, Catherine Tedford of Minn., Estella Infinger of Ala., Rose DeFalco of Rhinebeck and Shirley Longto of Ulster Park. Many nieces and nephews also survive. His brothers, Marshall, Joseph, Anthony and Salvatore Carchidi, and sisters, Anna Grant, Mary Wells, Judy Rojewski and Rita Souminen and son-in-law, Jeffrey Kniffen, all died previously. Gray, Certified Celebrant officiating. Cremation will take place at Wiltwyck Crematory.
