LA FERIA, TX. -- Francisca Betancourt Perez went to meet our Heavenly Father in the early morning July 12, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Arandas, Jalisco to Isidro and Trinidad Gonzalez Bustos. Francisca was a longtime resident of Harlingen and lived her later years in Sebastian, TX . She was a devout catholic who would pray the holy rosary daily, she had a strong faith for the Lord Jesus. Her passion was her family.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, and friend. Francisca was a very wise and cultured woman and most proud of all her children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Perez, and former husband, the late Juan M. Betancourt, father of her children; son Enrique Bustos, parents, Isidro Bustos Fonseca and Trinidad Bustos Gonzalez, brothers, Salvador and Enrique Bustos, sisters, Rosario Torres and Refugia Mendoza.
She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memory her 11 children, Frank Bustos, Trini Alvarez, David Bustos, Juan Lozano, Terry Vidal, Socorro Chapman, Frances Garcia, Tony Betancourt, Henry Betancourt, Mary Betancourt, and Ricardo Betancourt, 33 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Rafaela Gomez and Amalia Palomo. They will always cherish her memory in their heart.
Visitation will begin on Monday July 14, 2014 beginning at 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM with prayer of the Holy Rosary to be prayed both evenings at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Los Villarreal's Cemetery, Harlingen.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Juan Jose Palomo, David Bustos, Edward Betancourt, Matthew Betancourt, Richmon Bates, Larry Vidal, Carlos Betancourt and Joshua Betancourt.
Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave., Harlingen, Texas 78550.
