Harlingen, TX - Francisco S. Rodriguez, age 90, went home to be with the Lord Friday September 17, 2021 at his residence surrounded by love of family. He was born October 8, 1930 in San Benito, TX son to Francisco Rodriguez and Flora S. Rodriguez.

He was a truck driver hauling lumber for William Cameron Wholesales where he retired from after 30 years of faithful service. Mr. Rodriguez was a hard worker and good provider for his family. He liked fixing everything to make them last forever. He had many homemade inventions. He enjoyed sports and often rooted for the underdog.

Francisco is preceded in death by his grandson, the late, Juan Andres Benavides, his sister, Maria Francisca Rodriguez and his parents.

Left to cherish is wonderful memory are his loving wife of 69 years, Clara Rodriguez, six children, Gloria Benavidez (Juan), Flora Lopez (Ricky), Francisco Rodriguez Jr. (Angelica), Jaime Rodriguez (Isabel), David Rodriguez (Linda) and Marisela Lopez (Manuel), 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 21, 2021 beginning at 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Celebration of Life prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Robert Rodriguez of the Primera Iglesia Bautista officiating. All funeral services will conclude Tuesday night as per Mr. Rodriguez's cremation will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave. Harlingen, Texas 78550.
