Gasper Morales Obituary
SAN BENITO, TX. -Gaspar Morales Sr, 75, of San Benito, went to be with the Lord on Monday October 20, 2008. He was born on December 21, 1932 to Jesus and Felicitas Morales in El Venadito, TX.
He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed, but we know he is in a better place in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Delia P. Morales and loving family; 5 sons, Gaspar (Alma) Morales Jr., Jose (Isabel) Morales Sr., Thomas (Martha) Morales, Carlos Morales and Xavier (Belinda) Morales; 3 daughters, Norma (George) Zuniga, Carmen (Jose) Luna and Janie (Ray) Zarate; 2 brothers, Jesus and Gilberto Morales; 28 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Emma Pena and Juana Pena; and brother, Manuel Morales.
Honored to be pallbearers are his grandsons, Gaspar Morales, III, Eddric Juarez, Jose Morales Jr., George Morales, Joe Maldonado and Christopher Zarate.
Special thanks to Dr. Cecil Simmons and to the staff at Valley Baptist Dialysis Center.
Visitation will be on Wednesday October 22, 2008 at San Benito Funeral Home from 10am to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm.
Funeral services will be on Thursday October 23, 2008 at 2pm at the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Zuniga Cemetery in San Benito.

My deepest sympathy goes to all the family of Tio Gaspar. He is now in peace and has joined many of our family members to include his big brother, my grandpa Meme and my brother Joey. He is in good company and in a happy place. I will keep you all in my prayers. God bless you all.

I had an opportunity to see my uncle this past Christmas. He stopped by to visit my father, his brother. I was glad to see him. My uncle Gaspar was my favorite, he always made me feel good and proud of my accomplishments. He was a great uncle, brother, father and husband. Our prayers go out to his family especially his wife, Delia.
