Geoffry Drake Obituary
Geoffry and Connie Drake were married for 58 years and had two daughters, Vicci and Valerie (Brad) five grandchildren, Marie, David, Drew, Allison, William, and one great-grandson, Easton.
He was an adventurer and a lifelong learner. He spent his free time flying his own plane, fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, raising Charolais cattle, baling hay, and competing at the master level in clay target shooting. He loved all animals, large and small. Playing bridge with the San Benito group and hosting friends in his home was huge part of his social life. His door was always open and you never knew who would be stopping by next for a visit.
Geoffry served his community as an elected member of the San Benito School Board. He was an active member of the Rotary Club, Texas Dental Association, and a 32nd degree Mason.
In 1968 he graduated from the University of Texas Dental School and crafted his profession for 44 years. He held a special place in his heart for his many patients and the people who worked closely with him. Sonia de la Cruz, Karen Boykin and Lupita Castillo worked with and put up with him for over 30 years. Sandra Mejia and Joel Hernandez made his life easier. He was surrounded by a great team.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his two brothers, Joe and Jon.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Resaca Room at the Rancho Viejo Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

My condolences to the family of Geoffrey Drake. I was a patient of his in my high school years. He was do good at not causing pain and finding problems. He was also good at going beyond call of duty. I needed him on a Saturday with emergency situation. He delayed a fishing trip to help me. I will miss him.Prayers for his family.

Dr. Drake was our family dentist for years. I was fortunate to be able to see him during breaks from college as well. After 40 plus years living away and many dentists later I can sincerely say that Dr. Drake was the best dentist I have ever had.
