Joseph Ebner Obituary
SMITHVILLE, TX. -Joseph B. Ebner, Sr., age 92, passed away at his home in Smithville, Texas on October 2, 2007.
Joe was born in Sweet Home, Texas on September 18, 1915 and was schooled in Halletsville and Corpus Christi, Texas where he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, and cooking, with his family.
After serving with the Signal Corp (Army) during World War II in the Normandy campaign at St. Louis, Joe returned to his career in the wholesale food distribution business while raising a family with his wife Lucy, who predeceased him in 1987.
He is survived by six children - Lissa (Dave) Farrell, Joe Jr., Barbara (James) Stubblefield, Jill, Charles, and David (Mary Kay). Also grandchildren Kirsti, David Jr. (D.J.), Charlie Jr., Stacy Haynes, Anthony (Robin) Haynes, and great-grand-children Camryn and Cody Haynes.
Graveside services will be held in Yoakum 11am Monday, October 8, 2007, at St. Joseph's Cemetery with Fr. Matthew Huehlefeld officiating.

one of my favorite childhood memories is when daddy took me on a ferris wheel ride and when we were at the top we looked down and mama was sitting in the car and looked up at us and waved excitedly. We had so much fun and I just loved it. I have so many good memories and I cherish them and will forever do so. Dad always taught me to be honest. He was a salesman straight from God as far as I am concerned. Because he told me that " if you treat people right, they in turn will treat you right" and I firmly believe that and hold that truth dearly in my heart. Dad I'll always miss and love you and I can't wait to meet you again. Please tell Jesus to hurry up and get here for His children..Your loving daughter, Lissa

When your folks lived on Lewis Lane my son, Mike, and I lived in the apartments behind them. I always enjoyed visiting with them and have good memories of our being neighbors. My wife and I send our condolences.
