Mrs. Yeats,
My heart is broken and may you rest in peace. You were the best English teacher I ever had (now Miss Jarrett don't get jealous) I can see your smile now...
You helped so many of us and you inspired us to read books. You always had a book in your hands... those are the great memories I have of you. Thank you for putting life into our eyes and minds to open doors.

Ouida Thompson Yeats was an amazing and special person, I felt honored to have been her friend. We will forever be grateful to Ouida for being such a wonder friend to our mother when my sister and I moved away, she became like a daughter to mother.
I first met Ouida at Lyford High School and can still see her hurrying down the walkway between classes, arms full of books and a ready smile for everyone. I will think of her often and always miss her.
