Sarah Montemayor Obituary

Sarah Louise
Montemayor
HARLINGEN, TX. - Sarah's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile, funny voices, and love of life brought joy to all that knew her.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and bestfriend. She gave such courage and hope and emphasized the preciousness of life. Through her community involvement in the Blue Sunday Child Abuse Prevention Initiative, Children's Ministries, and the Harlingen CISD ACE program (among others) she was able to touch so many lives.
Her love of the beach, drawing, sewing, animals, and all things icecream reminded us to appreciate the smaller things in life. Her laughter and larger than life attitude could instantly light up a room and bring a smile to anyone who crossed her path.
Sarah is survived by her 3 sons: Christopher, Omar and Jeremiah Montemayor. Parents Arthur Wayne and Laura Louise Maxwell. Sister: Laura Lee Ziegler of Omaha, NE., Brothers: Michael Wayne Sutton of Missouri, Jeffery Wayne Maxwell and Bryan Eugene Maxwell. Maternal grandmother: Lois Cheesebro-Hodgins of Durand, MI. and her dearest lifelong friend Rachel Jud. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 E. Harrison Harlingen, Tx.
Visitation will be held today from 6 PM to 9 PM at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 2 PM at Christian Fellowship Church located at 827 E. Vinson Ave. with Pastor Barry Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park Cemetry, 26170 State Hwy 345, San Benito, TX.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jeffery Maxwell, Bryan Maxwell, Jake Snyder, Stephen Carlos Munoz, Kyle Jud, David Silva and Andy Alvarez.Sarah, its all you baby. 24/7, watchin' over all of us!
``No farewell words were spoken, No time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why.'

"Today a little butterfly flew by me.
I thought to myself where have you been little butterfly.
You come into this world as a cocoon all by yourself and blossom into
this beautiful butterfly and fly off to see the world.
What you don't realize little butterfly as you flutter through your days
is how you touch those around you in your soft gentle way.
You don't even realize the wonder and awe you create around you.
she fluttered her wings toward me as if she was waving good-by as she
headed towards the horizon.
She looked very happy and content as she went on her way, as if to say
to me “Don't worry I'll be okay”.
I was sad to see her go for she had touched my heart in such a way that
I knew my life would never be the same.
She had left an imprint of all the beauty life has to offer.
I knew each time I looked at another butterfly or horizon I would
remember our moment in time when it was only her and I.
I knew I would be a better person all because this little butterfly flew by
me one bright sunny day."
