Alan Redmon Obituary
Alan was a brilliant entrepreneur and risk taker in his younger years, which led him to his happy place, Gulf Sands Beach Resort in Casey Key. He rarely missed a sunset and watching for the "green flash". He loved laughing and telling stories with the many friends he made in his 42 years of business. He shared the "Dog House" by taking many of those friends for a boat ride. He was always young at heart and enjoyed riding rollercoasters with his grandchildren. Some of his hobbies included going to car shows, especially appreciating corvettes, and spending an afternoon at the movie theater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Holman and Betty (Pollock) Redmon, his sister Lindy and his beloved wife and business partner of 55 years, Susan Lee (Jackson) Redmon.
He is survived by two sons, Richard (Susan) Redmon and Steven Redmon, sister Carol Rozar, 5 grandchildren, Lindsy, Casandra, Alexandria, Nicole and Steven and 1 great grandson, George (Lindsy)
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Wednesday June 23, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Venice with Funeral services starting at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tom Hodge officiating.

Dear Steve you have our deepest condolences on the loss of your mother and father. Your dad was so sweet and so good to us whenever we stayed at Gulf Sands he will be dearly missed. Our Heart and Prayers go out to you and your family Steve .

Steve, Rich and Susan and family, we are so very sorry for the loss of your parents. We have so many great memories of them that we will carry forever. Alan and Sue always made us smile. Our family will never forget the kindness your parents showed my folks. Rest In Peace ... Jim, Helen and family.
