Clova Lee McReynolds

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Clova Lee May McReynolds, 91, of Venice, Florida on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Clova was born March 30, 1934 in Franklin, North Carolina to the late John and Lola Cochran May. Clova graduated from High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, and attended Carson Newman College.

Clova retired from Heyward, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina; lived at The Peninsula Club in Lake Norman, and moved to Venice, Florida in 1992 living at Venice Golf and Country Club for 25 years.

Clova is preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 56 years Harold L. McReynolds in 2012, and her brother John Dee May. She leaves to cherish her memories a host of cousins, in-laws, relatives, and long time friends around the country.

Clova will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.She was a strong, gently determined, loving wife, devoted daughter, and loyal friend who will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, sense of humor, and caring heart. All who knew Clova will never forget her.

She was a gracious host of many dinner parties, always well dressed, loved growing orchids, golfing, walking, traveling by RV, cruising the world, an occasional glass of chardonnay, and loved shopping.

A Memorial Service will be held at Briartown Baptist Church in North Carolina. Memorial contributions may be made in Clova's honor to a charity of your choice.
