Ann Marie Cleric passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on May 5th, 2015.

Ann was born, Nelliann Marie Theresa Meotti, on October 20th, 1939, in New Britain, Connecticut. She moved to New York in 1959, where she met the love of her life, Jack Cleric. After a brief courtship, they both knew they wanted to spend the rest of their life together. On April 1st, 1959 they were married in Queens, New York and celebrated 56 years of life together. The happy couple had two children, Melonie, born January 25th, 1960 and Kerry, born September 4th, 1961. In 1969 the family moved to Oxnard, California and she still lived there at the time of her passing.

In the mid 1970's, Ann decided she wanted to become an Interior Designer. After graduating from the prestigious FIDM College, she began working at Oxnard Interiors. She became the top designer there and soon opened her own store " Nouveau Interiors ". She owned and operated Nouveau for over 20 years. She served all of Ventura County as well as Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. She became locally famous, designing for the rich and famous. She was a fixture at the annual Design House and had many of her designs in Home Magazines. Ann suffered a stroke in 2003, which limited her use of her left side. She overcame those limitations, through hard work and perserverence, and soon went back to work. Sadly, she suffered a second stroke in 2007, which ended her career, at her beloved Nouveau.

Ann loved her children, Melonie ( who sadly passed away in 2013 ) and Kerry. She was a dedicated mother and a fixture at all their functions. She could always be heard, in the background, cheering for her kids. She never missed a game, recital, or a ceremony. She will be greatly missed.

Ann is survived by her husband Jack, son Kerry, daughter-in-law Denise, grandson Lucas, granddaughter Leanne, granddaughter April, son-in-law Laurence and great grandson Justin.

A memorial will be held, in her honor, at Perez Family Funeral Home, 1347 Del Norte rd., Camarillo. It will start promptly at 11:00 am on July 18th, 2015. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
