Barbara O'Reilly Obituary

Barbara O'Reilly

Thousand Oaks, CA

Barbara Lillian O'Reilly ? a 50 year resident of Thousand Oaks, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on September 12, 2015 with her husband and children by her side. She is survived by her loving husband and sweetheart Raymond O'Reilly whom she shared the last 60 years of her life with. She is also survived by her children, Donna O'Reilly, Gregory O'Reilly, Candice O'Reilly, Chantal Holmes, Gregory's wife Kristy and Chantal's husband, Paul as well as 11 beautiful grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren (a 3rd on the way) as well as her brother in Chicago and three sisters in Northern California.

Barbara was born on September 23rd, 1934 to Mary and Steve Rasich in Chicago Ill and was the 5th child out of 6 siblings. She met and married her sweetheart Raymond O'Reilly after a 6 week courtship on January 6th, 1956. God blessed us all by uniting them in a marriage that lasted almost 60 years before her passing. Barbara was a loving wife, an outstanding mother and grandmother, she cared deeply for her family and always kept the home fire burning, traveled the world and hosted a weekly party where friends and family were always invited. She loved her life and family.

With God's love, Barbara has been called home, and one day, we too will join her and our brother Raymond O'Reilly, Jr. who passed February 2013. We know they are together rejoicing in Heaven with family and friends who have gone before.

Please come and pay your condolences, show your love for Barbara and share with us the beautiful life Barbara had before God called her home.

Mom, these pictures sure bring back good times. The 70's pictures are my favorite. Well, they all are. But, you were a groovy chick. I miss you and Dad and Ray Ray so much. However, I know in the deepest of my heart you all are in Heaven.

Dear Aunt Barb,

You were so kind to me as a child, you sang at my wedding and you always held a special place in my heart. I will miss you, and I pray that you are home with our Lord and Saviour.

You Nephew,

Barbara was beautiful inside and out. Always had a beautiful smile. One of the kindest loving grand lady I was privileged to have known and loved for Barbara was a dear friend. She welcomed you into her home as if you were family. I will always remember our Friday's gatherings and every time we were together. My heart is broken but I know one day we will meet again. My deepest sympathy for the O'Reilly family and everyone who knew her and loved her.

So sorry to hear about Mrs. O'Reilly's passing. Just wanted you all to know that we're thinking of all of you and our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. I also wanted to let you know we'll never forget our Sidlee Street childhood - - it was a great time and she was a special part of that time for all us kids too!!
