Beatrice June Zehrung Dickson was born in Mishawaka, Indiana to Josie and Carl Zehrung, June 27, 1929. She was the youngest of four sisters and four brothers. She was known by both "B" and June.
Mishawaka is a city just east of South Bend, Indiana. June went through the Mishawaka school system, attended both Bethel and William Jennings Bryan Colleges graduating in 1953. She met Grover J. Dickson in College in 1952 and they were married in September, 1953. They served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1990 and have lived in Oxnard from 1985 to the present.
June had a Bachelor's degree in Christian Education and used her skills and expertise every place she lived. She had a natural and cultivated talent in painting and sewing and her friends and family will greatly miss her landscapes and portraits. She had a winsome smile for everyone. June will be missed by all. She loved her family & she always had a twinkle in her eyes when she spoke of them. My prayers are with Jim & the entire Dickson family.
