Gail Hawkins Obituary
Gail has four siblings: Jerome (deceased), Harold & Brenda of CA and Marcia, Maryland. Gail was baptized at Trinity Baptist Church, Oxnard under Rev. Washington. She graduated from Oxnard HS in 1970, worked and lived in Pt Hueneme, Ventura County (VC).
Gail raised two daughters: Latrice James & Sharee Hawkins. She was married & divorced from Glenn Hawkins, Chicago, IL. They had resided in VC & Chicago. Five generations were established twice in her life time. She leaves to cherish her memories Latrice and Sharee (deceased); six grandchildren: Ravon McCowan/Amanda, Sam, Jamar, Clevon, Corrin and Seth; four great grandchildren: Mason, Kacey, Azariah & Nehemiah all of VC. Gail leaves a maternal uncle: Arthur Reid, Tulare, CA and paternal aunt: Everlene Pierce Johnson, Berkeley, CA; two nephews: Harold Jr/Erica and Christopher; two nieces: Sherri and Summer; and great niece Olivia all of LA County. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of multi-generational relatives: Windoms, Beavers, Grays, and Fites (Bakersfield) to name a few & friends from CA, USA, and abroad. Gail was preceded in death by her paternal & maternal grandparents, step-father Rev. Parks, aunts & uncles, as well as her dearly beloved father, Harvel, and brother, Jerome.
There will be a mother & daughter combined Memorial Service on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Miracle Center Christian Church, 38 Teloma Dr Ventura, CA. Pastor Lonnie McCowan, Officiating

Gail was a very special friend always with a smile on her face and a very giving person. We had a great love and friendship. Condolences to the family and will keep the family in my prayers rest in heaven my friend.
