Gloria Candelaria Obituary
Oxnard, CA
Gloria Tellez Candelaria was called to be with the lord on February 23, 2017 after a three year battle with liver cancer.
Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately brought her peace.
Gloria supported the Navy working at NSWC PHD for 35 years. She led an organization of administration and finance. She also met her husband during her 35 years of civil service.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Louie, daughter, Gabriella, mother, Delfina Tellez and siblings, Margie, Mary (Tom), Art (Stella), Ruben (Elizabeth), and Vince (Libby). She was preceded in death by her father, Vicente, and sisters Rosie and Vera. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and loved all of her god-children.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and caregivers that provided care during her battle. In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to be made in her name.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at 10:00 on Friday, March 3, 2017 at New Life Community Church 1251 N. Rice Ave, Oxnard, CA 93030.

Dear Aunt Glo...thank you for being such a positive force in many lives ...we are so blessed to have a butterfly appear & the kids call the butterfly Aunt Gloria ....they ran after the butterfly & call your name ....thats how we keep your Memory Alive .....I remember your passing bc Monroes birthday is on feb 26th & you passed on the 23rd....we know you are at peace .....& Gabby is such an awesome girl all around with many accomplishments & talents ....bc of you & Uncle Louie ...we love you & miss you dearly ....rest peacefully with our Lord

I worked with Gloria for many years and found her to be a pleasant, understanding, and caring individual. She always had a smile on her face no matter how difficult the day was. I also enjoyed having her as my neighbor for a number of years, I will truly miss seeing her on her porch.

Louie and family, I was so sorry to read of Gloria's death. Louie and Gloria were two of my best employees when I had the honor of being their department manager at NSWSES. Their cheerfulness, willingness to serve and their utter commitment to the Fleet inspired me. There are really no words to express my profound sorrow at this news. The world is indeed a little dimmer without Gloria's light being in it. May your Faith and God's mercy help ease this inestimable loss.

Louie and Gabby and all her family, I am so sorry for your loss. she is really going to be missed. From the time I met her as a teenager working together at the Base she was a kind, caring, giving and hard-working individual. She was always there if you needed help. When I started my Princess House business she was there and supported me more than you will ever know. Always with encouraging words and lots and lots of crystal parties. When I tried to get her to join me she volunteered Louie, and we all had so many fun times. God Bless all of you I look forward to the day I will see her again.
