Grady Cramer Obituary

Grady Cramer

Simi Valley, CA

Lifelong Simi Valley resident Grady Cramer, age 61, died last week after battling Lung Cancer for 10 months.

Grady loved people and animals. His work and hobbies seemed to always revolve around one or the other. After serving in the United States Army for 4 years, Grady experienced a variety of jobs including working in a fish hatchery, running his own business selling reptiles and most recently driving a taxi. Grady loved driving a taxi for the last 11 years. Through his work he met and became fast friends with many people due to his easy going nature and his loving, generous and helpful personality.

Grady enjoyed raising chickens, cows, pigs and a variety of other animals. Grady had a passion for building things, from bird cages to houses. A skill he learned from his father and passed on to his children. Most recently he had been working on building his home in Springville.

Grady is survived by his 6 children: Shawnna, Summer, Sky, Ryan, Nick and Kaley. His 15 grandchildren: Jonathan, Juliet, Jesse, Scarlett, Amanda, Christyn, Joshua, Liberty, Cade, Cash, Caison, Cutter, Oaklie, Coraline and Alexis. His sister Linda and many other relatives and close friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Cramer, his mother Ruth Cramer and his brother Michael Cramer.

Grady truly enjoyed life and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life is scheduled for Sunday July 24th at the Simi Valley Moose Lodge from 2 to 5pm.

You will always and forever be in my heart. Thank you for being such a good friend to me even when I wasn't the best I could have been for you. Your kindness to me will forever be treasured and I thank God you no longer have pain or suffering.
"A Limb has Fallen"
A limb has fallen from the family tree
I keep hearing a voice the says, "Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song
The good life I lived when I was still strong
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you...
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease my soul is at rest
Remembering how much I have been truly blessed
Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your lives...and always stand tall
I miss you already, so keep up your chin
There will come a day we're together again!
Forever, your friend,
Bones
