I miss Harry's phone calls a couple times per year. The phone would ring and he was always so loving. I was always surprised he called. Great memories talking to him. He was the great Maloney, along with my Mom of course! :)

I am so sorry I Missed the services for For the Best teacher and Coach I have
ever known!
I have been tring for years to get in contact with Coach to no avail.
Just tried again only to find this obituary. I am truly sad. He was such an
awesome guy!
When they forced him to leave my school in my junior year I swore not to Play
sports again and be starting Center unless they brought him back.
They did not so I Graduated a 1/2 year early and went into the United States Air
Force.
I have always longed see Harry again ever since he left Maricopa High.
He was truly a Great Man and Teacher and Coach and Friend, I will love and
cherrish his momory for ever.
Sincerely, In sadness, Steve E Howard

Hi Dawn,I attended Harry's aerobics class at the YMCA each Saturday morning at 9:30am for many years. I remember you dropping in from time to time. Yes Quinn was Harry's pride and joy. Harry resigned as our aerobics teacher to coach Quinn's basketball team. What a guy! You are very blessed to have such great memories. And Quinn, you are very blessed to have had a Dad who loved you so much! You are both in my prayers!

Harry was a great friend and athlete. A starting guard and all conference on Fresno States basketball team, he was still teaching fitness classes and could knock off 16 pull-ups right up to 9 months before his passing . Amazing !

Harry Maloney was such a wonderful man. We shared so many times, in the gym at the YMCA and LA Fitness, and of course the world of basketball, beginning at the Y also. We are grateful for the friendship, support and guidance over the years and still find it hard to accept Harry is gone. A huge void is left. Dawn and Quinn, we share your loss and sorrow.

Harry was my landlord for a few years. He gave my boys and I a home when I was a single mom and struggling! He took a chance and I will always be truly grateful there aren't many people like him left , and now he's gone. To Dawn and Quinn my prayers are with you at this time and the days ahead.

Mr. Maloney was a very sincere person. I remember many times at track practice, he would come out and run with us for the fun of it. Often telling us "if an old man can do it, so can you" My thoughts are with your family.

Wow. I sadden to hear about Mr Maloney. He was one of my teachers in high school over 20 years ago. He was a great man. I'm sure he will leave a great big whole but I'm sure Quinn will grow up to be just like his dad.

There is nothing I can say to help the hurt, but I pray the love of your family and friends will walk the journey with you as you learn how to live with this loss. Take time for yourselves, take care of yourselves, and allow yourselves to mourn in a way that is best for you. I am so very sorry.

Mr. Maloney was my high school English teacher almost 40 years ago. He is one of a select group of educators that I feel particularly blessed to have been educated by. I still recall details and learnings from a term paper that I wrote in his class concerning Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and the Power of Positive Thinking. Mr. Maloney helped me grow intellectually and his actions demonstrated that he cared about me as a person. I am thankful to have been taught by him and he shall be missed.

I have known Harry for over 10 years through various gyms in town. We would talk about how our children were doing (being they were in the same grade) and things going on in life. I see myself as a positive person, but he was truly nothing but positive in everything. I was just thinking how I hadn't seen him lately at the gym and wondering whether he needed more work on his shoulder. I know it was bothering him, though he never complained or let on he had any health problems. May Quinn continue to feel his unending support, even now that he is gone. And his wife find support from family and friends in this difficult time.
