Ida Virginia Gover Haddock, 96, of Port Hueneme passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006, in Camarillo.
Ida was born Oct. 1, 1910, in Pawtucket, Conn., to Arthur and Ida Gover. She had been a resident of Ventura County for 44 years.
Ida was a certified nurse's assistant and convalescent care administrator. She cherished attending Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with her husband and always had a caretaking role in someone's life.
She is survived by her godson, David Lamot; brother, James Bourassa; nephews, Donald, Gary, and David; three great-nephews; four great-great-nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-great-niece. Ida was preceded in death by her husband, George Haddock.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, to be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at Conrad Carroll Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
Memorial donations may be made in Ida's name to the Boys & Girls Club in Port Hueneme.
