It's with heavy hearts and great sadness that our family announces the passing of James (Jim) Albert Crookshank Jr. Jim was born in Bakersfield, Ca. on Dec 29, 1950 and passed away on June 1, 2013 in Ventura, Ca. where he lived the majority of his life.
Jim was preceded in death by his father James and sister Geraldine.
He is survived by his mother Iona, sons Justin, Nathan, Ryan, grandson Jalen , sister Judy, brother-in-law Randy , niece Jerri husband Tyson and children and nephew Jeff wife Lori-an and children.
Jim loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, and swimming (in the mountain or the beach it didn't really matter). He also took great pleasure in taking care of his garden starting new plants for others and having a well manicured yard.
The times that made him the happiest and brought joy to his heart and life was talking to and hanging out with his boys, they were the love of his life.
Memorial Services on Wednesday June 5th at 4:30 p.m., Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston Street. We love you Jim and you are and will be forever missed.

We enjoyed our group therapy sessions together. We laughed more than we worked. You always gave good hugs and smelled great. I will miss your sense of humor.

I didn't see Jim often, as our families moved to different areas. I heard about him from Dean sometimes. May The Lord comfort you in your loss of Jim and Geraldine. Love. Dorothy

Jim loved to talk about his garden and his pet lizard that inhabited it. He was so generous in giving plants to people and he was kind hearted to others in distress. He told stories about the ostriches that he raised with Judy & Randy. His memory will live on thru all the people he touched.
