Jerry A. Venard

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our father, Jerry A. Venard. Jerry has been a resident of Camarillo since 1962 and passed away at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Monday, August 22, 2016.
Jerry was born August 27, 1934 in Greensberg, PA. He was raised in Union City, PA and graduated from Union City High School in 1952. He joined the United States Air Force and served his Country honorably, retiring in 1972. He spent his career as a Dental Lab Technician, both in the Air Force and working in private dental offices.
Jerry married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Combs Venard, at the young age of 18 and they were married for 45 years until her death in 1997. They had four children and loved spending family time with them, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with much loved extended family. Many wonderful times were had at the Venard family home where lifelong memories were made for all to hold dear.
Jerry is survived by his children, Charles Venard II and his wife Rose, Natalie Rouser and her husband Bruce, Jay Venard, and John Venard and his wife Marcie. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren: Charles Venard III (Casey), Katie Bonds (Paul), Jessica Mullen (Benjamin), Leilani Venard, Lauren Holcomb, Eric Rouser, and Sara and Austin Medeiros and great-grandchildren Claire Holcomb, Ally, Samantha and Harper Bonds, and Penelope Mullen. He is also survived by his twin brother, Jack Venard and his sister, Honey Venard. He also leaves many loving extended family members. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Combs Venard, his parents, Charles Kenneth and Marie Venard, his brother, Donald Wayne Venard, and his beloved granddaughter, Christina Marie Venard.
With deep appreciation, the family would like to extend their gratitude to all who cared for him during the last months of his life. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 2 at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo (805)482-1166.
