Jim Englund Obituary
Jim Englund, born January 17, 1944 lost his 9-month battle with brain cancer on January 9, 2021. A 1979 graduate of Brooks Institute, Jim was a commercial photographer, adjunct photography instructor at Oxnard College, and in later years a digital artist.
Jim never met a stranger and had a gift for making people smile and laugh. His Hueneme Bay neighbors will remember him as the guy who on his daily bicycle ride would hand out chocolate to the walkers and hot dogs to their canine companions. Jim is survived by his wife, Susan who traveled thousands of miles with him on his motorcycle during their 45 year marriage; sister Sara Englund of Little Rock, Arkansas; and his Vizslas Pepper and Blaze. There will be a celebration of Jim's life at a later time.

Jim was influential in my life as a commercial photographer but more so, he was a good friend early in my career. He was a good man.

My deepest condolences to Jim´s wife and family. My husband, our Jax, and I had the wonderful pleasure in meeting Jim, his wife with their pups at the dog park in Oxnard. We were honored when Jim gave us this portrait of our Jax who has also joined Jim in heaven on 3/1/2023. Jim will always be remembered in our home. Thank you Jim, you were so talented, loving and giving.

Sue, I'm sorry for your loss. Jim was a kind a wonderful person who brought laughter to the pool and had such a talent when it came to photography. The picture he created of all of us in the pool was one I'll always remember.
