Dad, it has been 24 days since you left us behind. I have cried almost every day and Tanielu cries every morning on our way to school because he doesn't hear your "good morning Champ" he really misses you as do all of us. Thank you for teaching me how to become a father to my kids and being their grandfather in place of my dad and I am so grateful to God that he put you in his place because you are the greatest. I miss the talks, the rides in the car where we had some great conversations. I miss the times you and mom came to AZ to be with us cause we needed help. You were always willing to help anyone of your kids no matter what. I thank God for you dad! I know you miss us but at least you're lucky to be in good hands with Henry, Eki, Willie, Bucky, Tina and Lisa. Also, with the many friends and relatives that went before you. I wake at every noise at night wishing it was you in the kitchen or at the table. I miss the sounds of the cards being shuffled, the songs and the prayers you would sing/say early mornings. I miss pushing you in the wheel chair or helping you into bed. I miss everything we used to do and I miss seeing you sitting at the table wen I would come home from work...mom misses you so much she cries every day. She is so lost without you around. Mom still wakes up at the same time wishing you were there. I promise I will try to take care of mom and all the kids and try to be there for them like you were. I am so thankful that I am an Otineru at heart. I remember when you asked me to take your name but then you changed your mind because you wanted me to carry the Lemalu name but I am an Otineru because of you dad...I love you and miss very much! Ia manuia lo Malaga!

My growing up years were with the Otineru's. I have very fond and loving memories of the whole family. My heart broke when Christina called and told me. (thanks Christina) May God be with the family at this difficult time.
