Karl Messerschmidt Obituary
Karl, beloved husband of Lois, father of Eric, Gary, Elise, Kurt and Karla, and grandfather of 10, died Jan. 20, 2007, in Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after many complications due to surgery.
Karl served with the U.S. Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge, he pursued the TV industry starting as camera man and eventually becoming technical director for NBC. He did many TV shows such as "Who's the Boss," "The Dean Martin Show" and many award shows. Karl had 14 Emmy nominations and won two. He worked over 40 years for NBC and then continued on as a freelancer.
Karl will be missed by many.

He was my Dad...it was a priviledge to be with him in his last days...and to be with the family. We thank the community of Ojai for their love for my Dad and Lois, too.
