It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Navarro Parra, 89, of Oxnard. She transitioned to Heaven peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Monday, September 15th, 2014 in the comfort of her own bed, in her daughter's home, where she had lived for the past three years. We take comfort in knowing that our beautiful mother, grand-mother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend is now at peace and has joined her husband, Ralph, sons Frank, Raymond and Mike and other beloved relatives in Heaven.
Margaret was born on December 5, 1924 in Mesa, Arizona to the union of Dionicio and Maria Santos Navarro. At eighteen years old, she met and married Ralph Parra and they had their first of nine children in 1945, a son named Ralph Jr. Shortly thereafter, the family left Arizona for California, where she bore eight more children, five boys and three girls, and lovingly devoted the rest of her life to them. Upon the death of Ralph Sr. in 1985, Margaret continued to be a devoted and loving presence in the lives of her growing family and she relished that role.
Besides her husband and three sons, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Dionicio and Maria Santos Navarro, sisters, Mary Madueno, Carmen Perez, and brother, George Navarro Sr., as well as other cherished relatives.
It doesn't matter how old you are, or how much time the Lord grants you with your parents - when they are gone, the void is substantial and impossible to fill. Left to forever mourn and miss her are her sons, Ralph Jr., Sam and David, daughter, caretaker and namesake, Margaret, daughter in law, Caroline B. Parra, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Romero and Sally Teran and brother, Ray Aguayo Sr. (Evelyn) of Fowler, CA, as well as many nephews and nieces on both the Parra and Navarro sides of the family.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people of Oakhurst Hospice for the loving and compassionate care they provided Margaret during the last five months, with an extra special thanks to Yvette, Heather and Jasmine. We would also like to thank Dr. K. Singh for the loving and exemplary care he provided.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10 am at the Camino Del Sol Mortuary, 200 N. "C" Street in Oxnard and the internment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N. "H" Street, Oxnard.

Mama, I thought about and cried for you all day today. It's unbelievable that it's been eleven years since your passing. You have most of my siblings there with you. I hope you make room for me too when it's my time. I was very blessed to have you for almost 90 years and was very blessed to have taken care of you the last 8 years of your life. I would give anything to give you one last hug and kiss. I have faith in GOD that I will see you again. Keep visiting me in my dreams. Love you, Mama.

Mama, it's been 9 years since you have gone. Yesterday was a very hard day for me. I thought about you all day long. They say time heals all wounds. Not true. It may lessen the pain but the wound is still there. I am getting older and hopefully you will be here to take me home with you when my time comes. Love you! Eta

Mama, here it is eight years later, and I still cry for you and wish you were here so I could talk to you. We shared so many great memories throughout our lives. I know you come to visit me when I dream of you. I hope it will be you that comes for me when it is my time to leave this earth. We will be together again. I will always LOVE YOU.

Mama, I am lost without you. I am lost without my daily routine in caring for you. I cry all the time for you and although my selfish side wishes you were still here, I thank GOD for taking you with him to Heaven.
Mama, I know you are at peace and free of all pain and suffering. I hope you are surrounded by my dad and brothers and all our loved ones who have passed. I will see you again someday y que descanses en paz.
