I was in shock, when a friend of mine called me and told me of the news. I knew Phil back in the days of Pruner, Careline, Medtrans, and Amr. Phil and I had many laughs together. I would always hang out with him during my delivery rounds. He had a great personality, and was always fun to be around him. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.

Like many of you, I had the honor(and good times) working with Phil back in the Pruner days. I also remember him as a class clown who made everyone laugh in high school. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his children and family.

I am dumbfounded and saddened to hear of Phil's passing. I worked with Phil in Santa Paula (and many other stations) back when it was refered to as the "chicken coop". I thouroughly enjoyed every shift I worked with Phil as we were always laughing, having a great time, or just having an intense and intelligent conversation. Your life was extremely short here with us, but your memory will live forever on in our hearts. God Bless your wife and children as they will be in my prayers during this very difficult time. You will never be forgotten.

Phil will truley be missed and live forever in our hearts.
I had the privilege of having Phil as a partner, and far greater - that of being a friend.
I am a better man for knowing him, and my son will be also simply for the examples and memories I am able to share with him.

I had the honor of working with Phil at Pruner, Careline, AMR, etc. As Dispatch Supervisor (Control 4), I welcomed Phil's professionalism and especially his sense of humor. He was always a favorite among the dispatchers and his fellow field employees. To say that I am devastated to hear of his death is an understatement. He will be missed.

The loss of this sweet man is tragic to his family, his fire department, the EMS system and our communities. I have known Phil since he started in EMS and was his supervisor for many years. While working with Phil and responding on emergency calls he was the best. His smile and demeanor won over co-workers, friends and the patients he came in contact with. We are all shocked by the sudden loss of such a robust man and grieve together as one large EMS and Fire service community. Rest in peace friend.

I have had the honor of knowing Phil since my first days at Pruner so many years ago. Most recently, our assignments in the Fillmore area provided me the opportunity to see him almost every day at work. I will miss him dearly, not only as a fellow Paramedic, but as my friend. I pray for Phils family and for all that knew, respected, and cared for him.

Our world has suffered a huge loss with Phils passing. He was a friend to me as well as a role model.
We had some great times working together at AMR as well as when he went to VCFD.Phil gave me work doing construction for him on the side and his Dad gave me a practically new couch when they were buying a new one just because I was a friend of Phils. It was my priviledge to know Phil and he will always be in my thoughts.
My family and I want to express our deepest sympathy to Phils family for their loss. The world was a much better place with Phil here and I know he will be watching over us all.I will miss you bro'.....

Phil had a great influence on my becoming a Paramedic. His friendship and his eagerness to help me learn the skills and knowledge will never be forgotten. I worked with Phil at AMR (and all the previous names of the ambulance company) and watched his career progress to the Fire Department. He accepted me into the EMS community even if my primary job was that of Police Officer. He always took the time to encourage me. I will truly miss him.

Phil will certainly be missed by any and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I enjoyed the many shifts we worked together at "the beach house" and all the laughs we had. Phil was always someone who could "lighten the load" with his great sense of humor and wit. Thank you for everything, Phil. You will not ever be forgotten. God Bless
