Ramona Ruth (Core) Fuentes died on Tuesday 8/29/17 at her Camarillo home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ramona was born on 6/22/39 in Morton, Washington to Frank & Effie Core.
She graduated from Mossyrock High School in 1957 and had two years of college afterward.
She worked at National Silver Company in Los Angeles and as a school secretary at Santa Rosa Elementary School in Camarillo.
Her main enjoyments were reading; both to he herself and to her family, as well as scrap booking, camping, hiking, and traveling.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church for 47 years and a member of Mother Teresa's Guild at St. Ives Church in Washington State.
She is survived by her husband Tony Fuentes, her sister Linda, her sons Kevin, Antonio, Marco, & Sasha, and her grandchildren Gabbi, Xavier, Morgan, Matthew, & Raven.
She brought love, laughter, & light to all that came into her presence. She will be missed.
Her funeral will take place at 11 am Friday 9/8/17 at St. Mary Magdalene Church (located at 25 N. Las Posas Rd., Camarillo), reception to follow at noon at St. Columba's Episcopal Church (located at 1251 Las Posas, Camaillo).

Whenever I think of joy, grace, humility and unconditional love, I think of Mona and Tony. Mona is the bright vivacity to Tony's quiet sparkle. Their love story is epic and timeless. I am sorry that Mona left this world early. It will certainly be a darker place without her strong spirit. Rest in Peace Ramona. You are sorely missed.
