I didn´t have a class with him. But I am sure he brought credit to his family and the world was a better place. I knew of him. RIP Mr. Reggie Whibley.

I've known Reggie since the 2nd grade at Sheridan Way in Ventura, DeAnza Jr. High and Ventura High. Reggie was extremely skilled in wood working, I was with him at a gun shop on the Avenue, we were in 9th grade I think and he picked up a walnut rough cut stock blank and just by looking at it he could see the finished product. He bought it and a old Martini single shot rifle and about a month later had one of the most beautiful rifle stock I have ever seen to this day on one of the dumbest rifles ever. Reg's made skills extended to metal and just about anything he touched. We both had 56 Chevy's and almost identical, his 210 Del Ray was Red & White, my 210 Del Ray was Black & White. Reggie is the one that suggested I date my first wife, not sure if I have yet forgave him for that one. We got in to our fair share of trouble but mostly had a ton of fun. I lost contact during my three years in the Army but got back together when I was discharged in 1965. As too many do, I lost contact with Reggie until we met up at Robert McPherson's (my big brother from another mother) home in Ventura the day before a class reunion, where we got into a little trouble again, not at Roberts house, the Class Reunion. Reggie's "Date" was Gladys a very beautiful lady that Reggie paid make sure she was properly groomed for the occasion complete with a shiny bleached ultra white coat, the right shade of lip stick and nice shiny hoofs, Gladys was a Sheep. Reg and I retrieved her from his truck out in the parking lot and he tried to walk her in the front door with the other "couples" going in but was stopped. So we went to plan B, Reggie took Gladys around to a side door and I went in and opened it and in came Reggie and his "Date". About half thought it was funny, the other half, well not so much, probably the Buena High half. That was Reggie Whibley in a nut shell, no matter how successful he became, that's just who he was, a kid looking for some fun and adventure. I lost contact with Reggie after moving to Northern Calif in 1977 and regret not going up to see him with Robert when I was visiting family in Ventura a few years back. We'll catch up pretty soon.

Reg was super cool and a great teacher. 1976 he came up with the Cardboard boat race in the MBH pool, it was crazy fun and almost ruined the filter system, LOL. Remember a BBQ at his house and he let me on his old diving suit with the big brass helmet. Great guy with the right attitude.

Omg!! Where do we start! Reggie started out as a friend and then became a awesome boss. He took us on adventures we would have never experienced without Reggie. He had many titles on these adventures he was El Captain, The General and even a Pope !! Reggie had a great personality and chrisma that drew people to him! We will not say goodbye because Reggie you're not gone your just on the other side! Till we see you again ❤

Reggie was one of the most remarkable engineers, constructors, and a "gentleman pirate" I had ever met. I enjoyed his legacy of Associated Pacific Constructors, which he created from the bottom up, his mentor ship, arm wrestling over treasures and his friendship. A tough but fair negotiator, Always humbled by his creative sensible solutions for any mechanical challenge. His creative energy and adventurous mind will be sorely missed. We wish Judy the strength and faith to transition her newly modified life without Reggie's physical being. His spirit of life will live on with all his friends. Along with Reggie's large and deep "stadium" of friends, we at Associated Pacific Constructors, Paul and Patsy wish godspeed for Reggie.
