Richard Orran Ashby of Citrus Heights, CA, and formerly Ventura, CA , passed away November 19, 2017, a native of Delta, UT and Phoenix, AZ, age 81 years. Beloved husband of Pam Wheeler Ashby. Cherished father of Lisa Olander, Michelle (Christopher) Yost, Erik (Fawn) Ashby, Kirsten (Carl) Shafer, Jeff (Emily) Stepheson, Mia (Mark) Johnston, Nathan (Susanne) Ashby, Trevor (Kiwi) Ashby and Elizabeth (Brian) Starr. 28 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Brother of Larry Ashby, Margaret Worth and the late Ken Ashby. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday December 1, 2017, from 4-8PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA, 916-725-2109) and are invited to attend a celebration of his life Saturday, December 2, 2017, 10AM at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Van Maren Ward Chapel (7009 Van Maren Lane, Citrus Heights, CA). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the UC Davis Medical Center (916) 734-9400 who, in concert with The Permanente Medical Group, added four rewarding years to his life.
