LOIS FREAD Obituary

LOIS ANN FREAD Lois Ann Fread August 22, 1933 ~ June 23, 2024 Lois Ann Fread, age 90 of Vernal, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Lois was born in Brainerd, Minnesota to George Chase and Inez Froid on August 22, 1933. She moved to Fargo, North Dakota in 1944 where she went to school and met Robert Venstad. She eventually married Bob and they had seven children together. Arlie Phaneuf, Vicki (Rick) Brown, Steve (Patti) Venstad, Mike Venstad, Robby (Vicki) Venstad, Debbie Wright, and Sheila (Chava) Casillas. She and Bob later divorced. Lois was a single mom to her children for many years. Lois moved to Casper, Wyoming where she met and married Walter Fread in 1974. He had four children: Chuck, Tammy, Terry, and Brenda. They had a good life together and had a lot of adventures. Walter passed away October 8, 2019. Lois loved spending time with her family, traveling, crafts, bowling, square dancing, and camping and traveling with Good Sam's friends. Her greatest joy was her children, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren. She always loved babies. She was a special lady. She will be missed and loved by many. A Celebration of Life for Lois will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared on their website.
