Graveside service for Shirley Parkerson Brannon, 83, of Gans, was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Gans Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Brannon was born on Nov. 19, 1941, in Yale, to Lottie Louise (Bledsoe) McKinney and Harold Rudolph McKinney. She passed away on May 22, 2025, in Gans.
She married Kenneth Louis Brannon on Dec. 8, 1991, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2011.
She was a Landman for OneOK Gas Company in Tulsa and a member of First Baptist Church, Fort Smith. She enjoyed traveling, raising race horses, spending time with her grandchildren, and hosting get-togethers.
Survivors are a daughter, Dana Parkerson and Steven Maynard of Gans; two step-sons, Kenneth Brannon and Regina of Gans and Kevin Brannon and Jennifer of Muldrow; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Butch McKinney of Broken Arrow; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by another husband, Daniel Robert Parkerson; her parents; and brother, Jerry McKinney.
