Fred was born in Edinburg, TX on December 11, 1951 to Guadalupe and Juanita Saenz. The youngest of eight children, he grew up traveling throughout the country working in the fields, but called La Villa, TX his home. On February 25, 1970 Fred married his high school sweetheart Olga Gutierrez from Edcouch, TX. Together they raised four children, Veronica Saenz Hernandez, Yvonne Saenz Valdez, Alfredo M. Saenz Jr., all from Visalia, CA and Cecilia Marie Saenz from Carrollton, TX. He is survived by 6 siblings, Adalberto Saenz (Dominga), Alejos Saenz (Aurora), Elvia Cisneros, Eva Hernadez (Luciano), Lali Moheno (Victor), and Guadalupe Saenz Jr. (Edna). In 1983 he moved his family to Visalia and has called it home ever since. Fred worked as a paralegal for many years. An avid music lover, he spent time as a performer, promotor, and as a DJ. He loved spending time with Olga and their Chihuahuas going to yard sales, and restoring antiques. He also loved a good hamburger, no onions of course, no matter the time of day!
He is survived by his wife, four children, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and one grandpup (Gwennie). He now joins his parents and his sister Ernestina Saenz in heaven.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Visalia, CA. A memorial tribute may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com
