David Dominguez Obituary

David Paul Dominguez

April 21, 1954 - June 25, 2015

Tulare, CA

David Paul Dominguez, 61, returned to his heavenly home on June 25, 2015 after a valiant battle with Cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his battle and ultimately gave him peace.

David was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Charlotte Dominguez on December 31, 1988. Together they raised their 5 children with love, patience and devotion. He taught them the value of hard work, discipline, respect and unconditional love. He is survived by his wife; Charlotte Dominguez of Tulare, Children; David Dominguez & spouse Monica Dominguez of Tulare, Joshua Elliott & spouse Julianne Elliott of Visalia, Angela Nunes & spouse Danny Nunes of Tulare, Jeremy Elliott and spouse April Elliott of Tulare and Madison Dominguez of Tulare. His grandchildren; Anyssa Dominguez, Shaianne Dominguez, Jillian Nunes, Jayce Elliott, Max Elliott and Ethan Nunes. His parents; Joe & Rosie Dominguez. His siblings; Daniel Dominguez, John Dominguez, Michael Dominguez, Mark Dominguez, Lisa Costa, Steven Dominguez and was preceded in death by Deanna Stanley.

David was born in Tulare, California. He graduated from Tulare Western High School in 1972. He immediately became a Bus Driver for Tulare Joint Union High School District while attending the College of Sequoias in Visalia. He also became an active Real Estate Agent while working for the High School District and in later years he drove trucks for multiple Trucking Companies. David was known for always working so hard to provide for his family and anyone who needed a hand. He touched many lives and always greeted everyone with a smile you can never forget and a heart of Gold! He was goofy, loving, smart, generous, and such a hard worker. In 2014, David was awarded Bus Driver of the year. He loved his job, loved the students and loved his co-workers. He worked for Tulare Joint Union High School for 42 years before retiring in December 2014.

David enjoyed camping at Dinkey Creek every year of his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, barbequing, golfing, watching the 49ers and Giants play ball and loved the waves crashing and watching the sunset at the beach. He treasured spending time with his family and friends.

He went home to the Lord peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones.

You were an amazing Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Son and Friend to us all! It's not "Good bye" but "We'll see you again."

Services will be held at St. Rita's Church in Tulare Wednesday, July 1st 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at Oak Valley Elementary School Cafeteria in Tulare. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life. Funeral Arrangements by Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service, Tulare.

David was a friend as soon as I came to Tulare to teach at Tulare Union HS in 1976. He drove bus for our many band groups 100's and 100's of times. A very polite, friendly, and super guy to be around. Rest in peace David - your remembrance will never stop.

It is never easy to say goodbye to our child, our father/grandfather, our spouse or friend. But take comfort in knowing David is no longer in pain, he is once again a strong heathy young man watching over all of you with Grandma and Grandpa until you all come together again some day. Aunt Rose we love you and mine and John's prayers are with you and the family now and always.

Words cannot express the loss our children, our grandchildren and your wife are experiencing. You paved the way for all of them. You loved them, you cared for them and you made them so proud . You are now in your glorified body, no more pain, no more struggles, but joy, peace, love and laughter awaits you . Your legacy lives on in David, Angela and Madison , and in all your grandchildren. Thank you David for giving me my two beautiful children - David & Angela. You will forever live on in their hearts. It is not good bye, but until we all meet again in god's appointed time.
