Dorothy Ferguson Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy B. Ferguson of Visalia passed away Thursday September 16, 2010 in Visalia at the age of 86. Mrs. Ferguson was born December 14, 1923 in Lemoore, California to Lavega and Annie Olmsted. In 1941 she married the love of her life (Walter Ferguson) and together settled in Visalia and started their family. Mrs. Ferguson worked as a LVN for Kaweah Delta Hospital for many years before retiring in 1984. Mrs. Ferguson was a long time member of the Visalia Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, cooking, caring for her flowers and spending time with family and friends. s he will be best remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Walter Ferguson of Visalia; a son, James Ferguson and wife Shirley of Bakersfield; a daughter, Darlene Brezovic and husband Joe of Houston, Texas; a daughter in-law, Doris Ferguson of Columbus, Ohio; extended and beloved family, Violet Rubalcaba and husband Larry of Visalia; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Harvey and Leon Ferguson, and 9 brothers. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Visalia District Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected].

May God bring you peace. Know that our is family so lucky to have known Dorothy. My father told my mother this morning about Dorothy's Passing, she cried (she is in the hosp. herself), they worked together for many years at Kaweah Delta. I remember Dorothy when I was a child and into adulthood. Know she will be dearly missed. Love, Prayers and thoughts to Dorothy's family.
