Kathy Lawson Obituary

Kathy Lawson It is with a heavy heart, but a strong spirit, that we announce the passing of our loving mother and nana, Kathy Lawson. On August 26, 2013 Kathy went to be with the Lord, at the age of 69. Kathy came into this life on October 17, 1943. And passed at the age of 69. She was called to our Lord in her sleep in the early hours of the morning. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron Lawson and her three brothers, four sisters, mother and father. We are sure that they were standing at the gates of heaven with loving and welcoming arms. Though her presence here will be terribly missed, we are in the comfort of our Lord to know that her pain is no more and she is in His loving arms and at peace. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hornung (husband, Craig); and two sons, Rob Lawson (wife Laurie); and John Lawson(wife, Mara), who love and miss her more than words can possibly describe, as well as her 7 grandchildren Summer Lawson, Savannah Lawson, Alexandra Hornung, Christopher Hornung, Bailey Hernandez, Breana Hernandez, and Blake Lawson. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 30, 2013 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel at 9 AM. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel from 4 PM to 7 PM. Burial at Visalia District Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected]

Kathy was a very special driend. Whenever I would go anyplace with Kathy, she was always concerned about my comfort and what I liked and wanted to do. Kathy was the one that got me into waitressing game. I started with Kathy working the Trade Club (serving, scraping dishes, washing dishes, drying dishes and putting them away. I moved on to Holiday Inn banquets and Kathy came too. We did have a good time in spite of the hard work. One of our favorite places to eat was Applebees (2 for $20) I was so thankful that after Kathy went to Prestige that we had one more Applebees 2 for $20 in her apartment and had a long visit and talked about old times. I will miss Kathy dearly and hope to see her when my time omes tobe with the Lord.

To all of Ron and Kathy's children: Your mother was one of the greatest people I have ever known. She always seemed to be where help was needed and offered that help. Our Aunt Estelle would always comment on what your mother was doing; especially, for the Family Reunions we would have. RIP our dear Kathy and may God take you straight to our Ron's arms. He is waiting for you just as my Harold is waiting for me. My love and prayers for all of our family.

To Rob and all of Kathy and Ron's children: Even though I did not see Kathy but a few times after Ron's death, I always thought she was perfect in every way. So loving and caring for those around her. May you all know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and may God help us to stay strong as I'm sure that's the way Kathy would want us to be.
