Opal Barnes Obituary
Visalia - Opal Irene Barnes "Mammal", at age of 77 went to meet the Lord in Visalia, CA on July 29, 2018. She was born on September 4, 1940 in Tinnie, New Mexico to Landis and Dollie Williams. Opal grew up in Woodlake, graduated from eighth grade as the Valedictorian and from Woodlake High School with honors. Later in life, she married once and after her divorce Opal rekindled a friendship with her husband, Jim Barnes. Opal enjoyed going on long rides to the hills, celebrating meals with family, and being silly and laughing. She received the most enjoyment by being a servant of the Lord and always gave the glory to Him.
Opal leaves to cherish her memory her son, Kevin and daughter in law Vienna Barnes; grandchildren, Ryan and Heather Reed; her brothers, Ernest Williams and Loyd Williams and last but not least her pets Misty and Chickawawa. Opal was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Barnes.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA 93291 on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9:00 am followed by Interment at Visalia Public Cemetery District.
Mammal favorite Psalm - "We will lift our eyes to the mountains…" Psalm 121.

I am sorry for the Barnes family loss of a beautiful person. I had the chance to know and work for Opal as her care provider for a little while but while working with her there was always laughter and joy around.You will be greatly missed Opal but your stories will carry on !!
