Coach also taught drivers ed and on one particular day, we drove the road to Camp Nelson. And since some else drove up it was my turn to drive down that curvy road. As I started my turn, Coach turned to me and said "don't ride the breaks", which I thought meant don't use the breaks. As we slid around each corner the 3 guys in the back seat slid back and forth across the seat bouncing off each door when Coach slammed on the breaks bringing us to a screeching stop! His look alone silenced us as he indicated that my turn ended. Over the years, I remember the lessons Coach taught me in football and life, and really appreciate that he passed me in drivers ed. God bless you Coach.

Mr. Bottoms was one of my all time favorite teacher, Humanities class was particularly fun and powerful. I still can see the class (I sat in front and became the attendance officer. He hated doing that job,) We learned a lot. May he rest in peace.

Mr.Bottoms was a wonderful man. I hadn’t seen him in ages but loved all the FB posts. I will miss him. He was very respectful to me, especially in high school.
