Our wife and mother Goldie Rector, 94 years young, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in St. George, Utah where she had lived since 2011. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 15, 1923. She married Frank C Rector on November 11, 1941. They were together for 63 years until his passing in 2004. They lived most of their lives in Strathmore, California. Her life was very full, she enjoyed playing golf and entertaining her family and friends.
Goldie is preceded in death by her husband Frank, two sons, Gregory Rector and Charles "Chuckie" Rector.
Goldie is survived by her sister Lorraine Sigourney of Colorado, her two daughters, Charlotte and husband Lindian Jones and Susan and husband Mike Green of Washington, UT; five grandchildren, Stephanie Wright of Exeter, CA, Shawn Jones of St. George, UT, Kerri Mecham of Hurricane, UT, Nicole Shaw of Coarsegold, CA and Shelly Vorenkamp of Fresno CA. She has 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 between 2 and 4 pm with scripture and eulogy starting at 3:30 pm at the Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff, St. George, UT. Interment and memorial service will be on Friday, August 11 at Lindsay California Cemetery 12:30, with viewing at Webb Sanders and Smith Funeral Home between 10 am and 12 pm prior to Interment.

Goldie you were some kinda special to me.i felt connected and treated as I would my family I always appreciated seeing how much your family loved and cared for you.i always said you must have been an amazing mom to have children who took such good care of you.you will be missed but there is peace In knowing you are exactly where u need to be and heaven gained an angel. Until we meet again my friend .good bye for now but not forever
